Last night, Chelsea and I found our redemption.

We made our third attempt on a swiss meringue buttercream frosting, and it worked.  It didn’t smell like rotten egg farts, and it tasted like heaven…and it even had the “melt-in-your-mouth” flavor that everyone boasts about.

Let me just tell you.  When swiss meringue buttercream works, it is worth the effort.  Pair this with a from-scratch chocolate cupcake recipe, and we have arrived.  Don’t you wish you had some?
