“Tomorrow Starts Christmas!”

Yesterday afternoon, I was chilling out in a caribou coffee shop. As I sat there working on a project, I overheard one of the baristas say to another one who was leaving, “This place won’t look the same next time you are here! Tomorrow starts Christmas!” If you are anything like me, this is a shocking statement. I mean…I know it is cold and all, but it isn’t time for Christmas yet!

I feel like Christmas is getting pushed up. Businesses are already decorating for Christmas, the layaway commercials have started already, and I’ll admit – I am already working on crafting for Christmas…but that doesn’t mean I am ready! There is so much life to be lived before Christmas comes! Think of the joys of thanksgiving!

Even though Starbucks and Caribou may be changing over to Christmas, I refuse…at least for now.

My sister, Janine, and I have been conversing back and forth for a few weeks now about new traditions we want to start this year. Two of them are new thanksgiving traditions: a thankful tablecloth, and thankful rolls…both found on Pinterest.

My mom told me a few days ago that she found the perfect tablecloth for the thankful tablecloth, as well as two clear plastic tablecloths – one for under the writing, and one to protect the writing. As goes for the rolls – my sister is excited about putting together a bunch of scriptures about thankfulness…while I am excited to put together a conglomeration of twisted fortunes. Together, we have a winning combination!

Yay for thanksgiving!

I know it is early for Christmas, but I am so ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I scored big today on shopping for decors for my mom. 🙂 And I was so inspired by your crafting that I am planning on doing a few things this Christmas.
